SUMMARY:Healing with Form\, Energy\, and Light with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will teach on Healing with Form\, Energy\, and Light. He helps us to strengthen our connection to the sacred aspect of the natural world and presents us with a guide that explains why certain practices are necessary and beneficial. \nHealing with Form\, Energy and Light\, a book written by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche has been translated into many languages. It is the resource for this retreat. It covers healing through sutric\, tantric\, and dzögchen perspectives. In the Tibetan tradition\, the five elements of earth\, water\, fire\, air\, and space are accessed through the raw powers of nature and ancient Bön practices. \nThe five external elements support us in maintaining our well-being and health. The five secret elements relate to the mind and can affect our personality\, feelings\, thoughts\, emotions\, and behavior. \nThe retreat will be in English with simultaneous live audio translation via Zoom in Spanish\, Russian\, and potentially other languages. \nA live and silent auction will be held on Saturday after the teaching. \nSaturday Schedule CST \n\n\n\nSession 1\n10:00 am-11:00 am\n\n\nBreak\n11:00 am-11:30 am\n\n\nSession 2\n11:30 am-12:30 pm\n\n\nMeal Break\n12:30 pm-2:00 pm\n\n\nSession 3\n2:00 pm-3:30 pm\n\n\nBreak\n3:30 pm-4:00 pm\n\n\nAuction\n4:00 pm-5:00 pm\n\n\n\nSunday Schedule CDT \n\n\n\nSession 1\n10:00 am-11:00 am\n\n\nBreak\n11:00 am-11:30 am\n\n\nSession 2\n11:30 am-12:30 pm\n\n\nMeal Break\n12:30 pm-2:00 pm\n\n\nSession 3\n2:00 pm-3:30 pm\n\n\n\nPlease register for the retreat through the Jung Center at the link below. \nhttps://junghouston.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/junghouston/event.jsp?event=10879 \n\nThere will be a silent auction during the retreat.  Those not able to attend are invited to  participate at the following link:  Online Auction Items \nThere will also be a live auction after the teachings Saturday afternoon.  Preview the items at the following link: Live Auction Items

SUMMARY:Tibetan Dream Yoga: Awake While Dreaming with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche!
DESCRIPTION:How do we make distinctions between dreaming\, deep sleep\, and being awake? Is there a way to experience the differences – and similarities – between these three states? Explore your dreams in this weekend retreat with Tibetan Bön Master and founder of Ligmincha Texas and Ligmincha International\, Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche!\n\n\nThe Jung Center’s Executive Director\, Sean Fitzpatrick\, will join Rinpoche for a Friday evening talk and conversation about dreaming from both the Tibetan and Jungian perspectives.\n\n\nThen\, retreat into practice and teaching with Rinpoche for the weekend\, and invite an experience of the thread connecting our sleeping\, dreaming\, and waking consciousnesses. All are forms of awareness that can be experienced as a continuum – and can also manifest as a constant awareness called the “natural state.” Rinpoche will focus on dream practice\, explaining the underlying concepts and teaching methods of inviting the experience of the natural state.\n\n\nJoin The Jung Center and our friends at Ligmincha Texas as we discover how connecting to our unchanging selves in the midst of these alternating states can open the way to profound transformations of our minds\, hearts\, and lives. All are welcome!\n\n\nThere is a separate registration for in-person and Zoom participation. A separate registration link is also available for the Friday night session only. The Full weekend registration includes the Friday night event.\n\n\nFor in-person attendees\, Rinpoche’s newest revised and updated version of his book\, Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep will be available to purchase and for a book signing following the Friday evening talk.\n\n\nLive audio translations (Spanish\, Portuguese\, and Russian) will be available.\n\nPlease register through the Jung center at the links below. \nFriday In Person\nFriday On Line \nFull Weekend In Person\nFull Weekend On line \nOnline Auction\nhttps://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/2023-ligmincha-texas-auction-36030 \nLive Auction Items Preview\nhttps://ligminchatexas.org/2023-live-auction-items/

SUMMARY:The Power of Mantra: A Om Hung
DESCRIPTION:An open mind and compassionate heart are important and necessary virtues to lead a good life. But we are often bound and limited by our prejudices\, fears\, and divisions. Awareness is the key that frees us and allows our positive qualities to be expressed. Awareness is essential for spiritual transformation. When we open our body\, speech\, and mind with awareness\, our inherent capacity for love is found to be already present. In the Bön tradition of Tibet\, sacred sound is used as a skillful means to release tensions and blockages in our body\, free our speech of divisions of exclusion and bias\, and activate the compassionate qualities of an open heart. Through engaging the sacred syllables of A\, OM\, and HUNG\, we employ the power of mantra to awaken the sacred dimension of our body\, speech\, and mind and transform our life for the benefit of ourselves and others.   \nThis teaching is especially precious as Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will not be teaching in 2021.  Rinpoche is taking a year-long sabbatical and will return to teaching in 2022. You won’t want to miss this opportunity! \nLocation \nThe Jung Center Houston\n \nhttps://junghouston.org/ \n\n(click on red button “search programs”) \nRegister through the links provided above. \nFinancial hardship alone should not prevent a practitioner from attending teachings.\nSpecial payment plans are available.\nPlease contact us at info@ligminchatexas.org\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \nFounder and spiritual director of Ligmincha International\, Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is a respected and beloved teacher and meditation master in the Bön Buddhist tradition of Tibet.  He has students in more than 25 countries\, teaches around the world and reaches thousands of students through his online programs. \nTrained as a Bön monk\, Rinpoche now lives as a householder\, allowing him to more fully relate to the needs and concerns of his students.  Known for the depth of his wisdom and his unshakeable commitment to helping students recognize their true nature\, he is the author of many books and online courses. \nFluent in English\, Tenzin Rinpoche teaches in a warm and engaging style\, frequently drawing on examples from contemporary culture to bring the ancient Bön teachings to life\, making them relevant to the lives of modern people and a powerful basis for spiritual growth. He is equally at home teaching online and in a retreat setting. \nRinpoche regularly teaches in Europe\, the United States\, Mexico\, Central and South America\, and Asia. Information about worldwide locations may be found here. \nHe also is a leader in using technology to teach dharma. Rinpoche has offered free live webcasts since 2009\, including through his Facebook page since 2016. Beginning in 2010 he has offered a variety of online courses\, through both Ligmincha Learning and GlideWing Productions. With the support of his global volunteer base\, Rinpoche’s teachings are available in as many as 18 different languages through both real-time translation and subtitles. Find out more about his live events here. Hundreds of hours of previously recorded teachings can be found on Ligmincha’s YouTube channel and Ocean of Wisdom. \nRecognizing the diverse needs of students\, Rinpoche has created two sister organizations to Ligmincha: The 3 Doors and Lishu Institute. The 3 Doors is an international organization that allows participants from all walks of life to go deep into the essence of the teachings. Its programs use meditation and community to support self-discovery\, personal transformation\, and actions that benefit others. Lishu Institute\, a residential education and retreat center in India\, offers intensive study and practice of the Bön tradition. Its programs run from two weeks to two months in length\, with some participants choosing extended study.

SUMMARY:Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities - Weekend Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will return to the Asia Society on January 25th\, 2019\, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. The Retreat will continue at the Jung Center Houston on Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. \nThe topic of this year’s talk is based on Rinpoche’s newest book\, Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities\, published in 2018. As Rinpoche has said: \nCreativity can be seen as a state of natural flow\, one that spontaneously and effortlessly gives birth not only to manifest form\, but to all experiences of body\, energy and mind. This state of flow\, which has its roots in openness\, occurs only in the absence of hope and fear. It is at once naturally joyful\, peaceful\, compassionate\, expansive and powerful. When you know how to tap fully into this open\, creative flow\, its beneficial qualities can extend to any area of your life. \nDuring Friday night’s lecture\, Rinpoche will introduce the topic and provide a short instruction and meditation practice. \nOn Saturday and Sunday at the Jung Center Houston\, Rinpoche will deepen his discussion and and offer more extensive guided meditation practices to help participants recognize and clear physical\, energetic\, and mental obstacles that can block creative flow\, helping you to connect with and trust in your innate creative potential and to discover the inner strength and confidence that can allow creativity to naturally blossom.\n \n \n \n \nGeshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche \n \n \n	\n \nGeshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche\, founder and spiritual director of Ligmincha International\, is an acclaimed author as well as a highly respected and beloved teacher to students throughout the United States\, Mexico and Europe.
