DESCRIPTION:Dru Gyalwai Chag Tri: Teaching on the Fruit \nPart 1 \nThe Experiential Transmission of Dru Gyalwa Yungdrung  \nby Geshe Denma Gyaltsen \nThe Dru Gyalwai Chag Tri is the collection of the text composed by Dru Gyalwa Yungdrung\, the great 13th century master who lived from 1242-1290. Dru Gyalwa Yungdrung is the 57th lineage holder of the Oral Transmission of the Zhang Zhung Nyan Gyü and is also known as Dru Gyalwa. \nHe composed a practice manual Chag Tri at the Yeru Wensakha monastery.  The propagation of the unified Oral Transmission of Zhang Zhung continued at Yeru Wensakha monastery for another hundred years to Rinchen Lodro during which time the monastery was destroyed by a flood in 1386.  \nDru Gyalwa’s practice manual consists of three major sections: Foundation Practices\, Actual Practices\, and Supplemental Practices.  The Supplemental Practices includes guidance on: View; Base; Meditation; Path; Conduct; the Causal Conditions of the Path; and Result.  Geshe Denma Gyaltsen is offering this teaching and practice instruction from this text that focuses on the last chapter of this manual known as Teaching on the Fruit in a series of three retreats.  \nThis is a three part retreat. \nPart 1 is an introduction to the Natural State of the Mind through Integration with the Three Kayas through the six symbols. \nPart 2 and Part 3 is an introduction to and practice of The Result through Trekchö and Thögal. \nAll are welcome to attend and join us! \nPart 1 – October 2-3\, 2021 \nSaturday and Sunday \nSession 1 10:00 – 11:15 am \nSession 2 11:30 am -12:30 pm \nMeal Break \nSession 3 1:30 – 3:00 pm\n\nRegistration is a 2 step process.  Step 1 is pay at PayPal.  Step 2 is register at Zoom.  It is important to complete both steps to assure access to the retreat.\nComplete payment through PayPal by clicking the Register button below. \nIMPORTANT:  After payment is completed\, you will be brought back to the Ligmincha Texas website.  This may take 10-40 seconds. \nIMPORTANT: If you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website after 1 minute\, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” \nAfter returning to Ligmincha Texas website\,  you will 1) get the link to the Retreat Handouts & Recordings (SAVE THE LINK)\, and 2) get the Zoom Registration Link. He arrived in Houston in January 2016 to serve as Ligmincha Texas’s first resident lama. \nGeshe Denma was born in northern Nepal. His father brought him to Menri Monastery\, India\, regarded as the mother Bon monastery in exile\, in 1981 to begin his program of study toward the Geshe degree. He received all the Bon teachings\, initiations and transmissions in sutra\, tantra and dzogchen from His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche\, the 33rd Menri Trizin\, and His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. \nWhen he became a senior student\, he was asked to teach philosophy to younger students. He successfully completed this degree program in 1996 and was awarded the Geshe certificate\, which is considered equivalent to a Ph.D. in Bön Buddhist philosophy and religion. \nGeshe Denma was an accomplished teacher and in 1998 was appointed\, with the approval of the Tibetan government in exile\, first abbot of Zhu Rishing Yungdrung Kundak-Ling Monastery\, a Bon Monastery in Sikkim\, India by His Holiness. He served two terms in this capacity until 2003. In addition\, from the time he graduated until 2008\, Geshe Denma also was active in assisting Geshe Nyima Dakpa with the Bon Children’s Home\, which houses many children in Dolanji\, India\, providing them with food\, healthcare and free education.
