DESCRIPTION:Sigyal Dragnak Walmo Healing: Teaching\, Practice\, and Transmission \nFebruary 26-27\, 2022 \n10:00 am – 3:00 pm CST \nProtection and Healing with Sipe Gyalmo \nMeditation\, Mantras\, and Blessing Water \nZoom Weekend Retreat with Geshe Denma Gyaltsen  \n  \nTo help during coronavirus times\, our Bön Buddhist teachers are using Sipe Gyalmo practice.  Geshe Denma Gyaltsen has led us in at first daily and now weekly practice since March 2020.  We are still living with the pandemic. Learning this powerful\, tantric practice will benefit our world. \n  \nSipe Gyalmo\, the fierce “Queen of Existence\,” is the main protector of Bön\, its teachings\, and practitioners. This weekend\, Geshe Denma will explain Sipe Gyalmo\, Yeshe Walmo and Sigyal Dragnak Walmo\, the specific manifestation to subdue infectious diseases and prevent untimely death. Uniquely\, she is both a yidam and a protector. The principal deity within the female lineage\, her prayers and offerings are performed daily in Yungdrung Bön Monasteries.  \nShe is called upon to remove external\, internal and secret obstacles for both practitioners and for the religious tradition. In this way\, she protects health\, prosperity\, and spiritual development as well as supports our success in whatever we wish to accomplish.  \nIncluded are images of the original pecha text brought from Tibet by His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. This is part of his personal daily prayer book. The pages have been recited many times by Rinpoche as noted by the oil on the corners of the pages.  It is a blessing to see these pages. \nTo prepare\, it is best to set up your altar if you have one.  At your seat bring a bottle or other container of drinking water placed on a white cloth. Also\, bring a mala and a spoon. \nDuring this teaching\, Geshe Denma Gyaltsen will introduce us to the protector Sigyal Dragnak Walmo healing\, teaching\, instructions\, practice\, and transmission regarding her prayers and offerings.  \n  \n \n\nRegistration is a 2 step process.  Step 1 is pay at PayPal.  Step 2 is register at Zoom.  It is important to complete both steps to assure access to the retreat.\nComplete payment through PayPal by clicking the Register button below. \nIMPORTANT:  After payment is completed\, you will be brought back to the Ligmincha Texas website.  This may take 10-40 seconds. \nIMPORTANT: If you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website after 1 minute\, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” \nAfter returning to Ligmincha Texas website\,  you will 1) get the link to the Retreat Handouts & Recordings (SAVE THE LINK)\, and 2) get the Zoom Registration Link. He arrived in Houston in January 2016 to serve as Ligmincha Texas’s first resident lama. \nGeshe Denma was born in northern Nepal. His father brought him to Menri Monastery\, India\, regarded as the mother Bon monastery in exile\, in 1981 to begin his program of study toward the Geshe degree. He received all the Bon teachings\, initiations and transmissions in sutra\, tantra and dzogchen from His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche\, the 33rd Menri Trizin\, and His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. \nWhen he became a senior student\, he was asked to teach philosophy to younger students. He successfully completed this degree program in 1996 and was awarded the Geshe certificate\, which is considered equivalent to a Ph.D. in Bön Buddhist philosophy and religion. \nGeshe Denma was an accomplished teacher and in 1998 was appointed\, with the approval of the Tibetan government in exile\, first abbot of Zhu Rishing Yungdrung Kundak-Ling Monastery\, a Bon Monastery in Sikkim\, India by His Holiness. He served two terms in this capacity until 2003. In addition\, from the time he graduated until 2008\, Geshe Denma also was active in assisting Geshe Nyima Dakpa with the Bon Children’s Home\, which houses many children in Dolanji\, India\, providing them with food\, healthcare and free education.
