Her experience reveals how\, in the transitional states beyond death\,\nbeings yearn deeply for the sound of the three essential mantras and send messages to their living relatives asking for virtuous deeds to be performed on their behalf. She is the first Tibetan woman to receive a Ph.D. in Tibetan Bön philosophical studies. A recipient of the Jwaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund grant. She won the Prime Minister’s Award from the\nTibetan Government in Exile in India in 2013. \nShe has translated two books from Tibetan to English. Escape from Darkness: The Spiritual Journey of the Buddha’s Daughter Shenza Nechung and The Lamp of Uza Rinchen Sal: Illuminating the Illusory Vision of the Bardo\, the Purifying Period of the\nKarmic Vision of the Six Lokas\, and a Pure Vision of the Sugatas.
