SUMMARY:Tibetan Dream Yoga: Awake While Dreaming with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche!
DESCRIPTION:How do we make distinctions between dreaming\, deep sleep\, and being awake? Is there a way to experience the differences – and similarities – between these three states? Explore your dreams in this weekend retreat with Tibetan Bön Master and founder of Ligmincha Texas and Ligmincha International\, Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche!\n\n\nThe Jung Center’s Executive Director\, Sean Fitzpatrick\, will join Rinpoche for a Friday evening talk and conversation about dreaming from both the Tibetan and Jungian perspectives.\n\n\nThen\, retreat into practice and teaching with Rinpoche for the weekend\, and invite an experience of the thread connecting our sleeping\, dreaming\, and waking consciousnesses. All are forms of awareness that can be experienced as a continuum – and can also manifest as a constant awareness called the “natural state.” Rinpoche will focus on dream practice\, explaining the underlying concepts and teaching methods of inviting the experience of the natural state.\n\n\nJoin The Jung Center and our friends at Ligmincha Texas as we discover how connecting to our unchanging selves in the midst of these alternating states can open the way to profound transformations of our minds\, hearts\, and lives. All are welcome!\n\n\nThere is a separate registration for in-person and Zoom participation. A separate registration link is also available for the Friday night session only. The Full weekend registration includes the Friday night event.\n\n\nFor in-person attendees\, Rinpoche’s newest revised and updated version of his book\, Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep will be available to purchase and for a book signing following the Friday evening talk.\n\n\nLive audio translations (Spanish\, Portuguese\, and Russian) will be available.\n\nPlease register through the Jung center at the links below. \nFriday In Person\nFriday On Line \nFull Weekend In Person\nFull Weekend On line \nOnline Auction\nhttps://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/2023-ligmincha-texas-auction-36030 \nLive Auction Items Preview\nhttps://ligminchatexas.org/2023-live-auction-items/

SUMMARY:Ligmincha Texas Healing Practice for World Peace
DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 has completely changed the world. This past year has been difficult and most challenging. Now\, it is starting to get better and better. \nWe can fight the virus by continuing to follow COVID-19 precautions (e.g. wearing a mask\, physical distancing\, getting a vaccine)\, doing prayers\, and practicing to meet this challenging time. If we do this\, it will end soon. \nWe cannot blame anyone for the virus. No one has made this virus\, this kind of disease comes and goes. In the Buddhist text\, it says there are 404 types of diseases and 80\,000 obstacles by the gek. We need to eliminate these obstacles and diseases by prayer. Many people may experience anxiety and anger that can automatically come out when under duress. When this happens\, it is important that we do not blame anyone. By doing this\, it becomes worse. \nNow\, we will practice peace in the world to make life happier for all at this time. Ligmincha Texas will do prayers for World Peace and Healing for everyone by practicing the Sipe Gyalmo Healing Practice (Queen of Existence) and The Precious Garland for those who have died from racial violence and COVID-19. \nBring mala and a bottle of water. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Introduction to Meditation in the Tradition of Yungdrung Bön - Presented by Ani Sherab Wangmo
DESCRIPTION:The meditation in the Yundrung Bön Spiritual Tradition is the Path that we all need to tread to be able to control our mind and train it so that we can live with more peace\, quiet and serenity. \nIn the beginning we do have to know the context in which these sacred practices are\, so that we really know what we are doing and why. This very certainty allows us as practitioners to focus our attention on the goal and do not get distracted. It is an Ocean of Wisdom and we are beginning by touching the surface. \nAni Sherab Wangmo is a nun of the Yungdrung Bön Tradition\, an authorized instructor of the Lineage\, and a practitioner for 22 years.
SUMMARY:The Six Bardos and the Nature of Mind
DESCRIPTION:The Six Bardos and the Nature of Mind\nMenri Shedrup Khenpo Geshe Nyima Dhondup Rinpoche\nThe Bardo is a Tibetan Buddhist concept roughly translated as “thrown between.” Also called the Intermediate State\, the Bardo arises between death and the next life.  It is said to be much like dream\, sleep\, and deep meditative states\, when the edges of our reality blur\, and forms\, images\, sounds\, our sense of ourselves and duality diminish\, yet presence remains.\nThe Bardo presents both a challenge to ordinary consciousness and an opening to the possibility of enlightenment. \nKhenpo Nyima Dhondup Rinpoche will explore the Bardo with us. SUMMARY:Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities - Friday Talk
DESCRIPTION:Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will return to the Asia Society on January 25th\, 2019\, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. The Retreat will continue at the Jung Center Houston on Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. \nThe topic of this year’s talk is based on Rinpoche’s newest book\, Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities\, published in 2018. As Rinpoche has said: \nCreativity can be seen as a state of natural flow\, one that spontaneously and effortlessly gives birth not only to manifest form\, but to all experiences of body\, energy and mind. This state of flow\, which has its roots in openness\, occurs only in the absence of hope and fear. It is at once naturally joyful\, peaceful\, compassionate\, expansive and powerful. When you know how to tap fully into this open\, creative flow\, its beneficial qualities can extend to any area of your life. \nDuring Friday night’s lecture\, Rinpoche will introduce the topic and provide a short instruction and meditation practice. \nOn Saturday and Sunday at the Jung Center Houston\, Rinpoche will deepen his discussion and and offer more extensive guided meditation practices to help participants recognize and clear physical\, energetic\, and mental obstacles that can block creative flow\, helping you to connect with and trust in your innate creative potential and to discover the inner strength and confidence that can allow creativity to naturally blossom.\n \n \n \n \nGeshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche \n \n \n	\n \nGeshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche\, founder and spiritual director of Ligmincha International\, is an acclaimed author as well as a highly respected and beloved teacher to students throughout the United States\, Mexico and Europe. Fluent in English\, Tenzin Rinpoche is renowned for his depth of wisdom; his clear\, engaging teaching style; and his ability to make the ancient Tibetan teachings highly accessible and relevant to the lives of Westerners.\n\n\n \n Click here to visit the Asia Society Houston website\nPricing at the Asia Society Friday Night Public Talk:\n$25 for non-members\n$15 for members of the Asia Society

SUMMARY:Heart Drops of the Dharmakaya
DESCRIPTION:The nature of our own mind remains hidden behind clouds of thoughts and emotions until a master directly points out the source\, the essence\, the “heart drop.” This is the method of direct introduction to Dozgchen\, the highest and most subtle path of medication in Bon. \nThe Heart Drops of Dharmakaya teachings were composed by Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen\, a Tibetan master who upon his death in 1935\, achieved the rainbow body\, in which his physical body dissolved into light. Shardza Rinpoche was one of the most influential Bon Teachers of his time. His works are used as textbooks in may Tibetan monasteries. \nIn these teachings\, practitioners learn a series of extraordinary practices that invoke direct perception of the nature of mind. Unlike methods that involve watching the breath or otherwise calming the thoughts\, these practices rely on body postures\, sounding of Tibetan syllables\, and simple visualizations to draw one quickly to an experience of one’s essence.
