SUMMARY:Opening the Door to Bön - the Warrior Syllables
DESCRIPTION:The Five Warrior Syllables (Tibetan Sound Healing) \n \n \n	\nThe sacred sounds of the Five Warrior Syllables are a part of the Bön healing tradition and have been handed down from master to student for generations. In recent years\, these ancient practices have been brought to life in the west through the tireless teaching and writing of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche\, author of Tibetan Sound Healing. The Five Warrior Syllables Practice engages the power of sound and silence to help heal physical illness\, clear psychological and energetic disturbances\, and support the spiritual practitioner to abide with clear and open awareness. \nIn our Sunday practice session\, led by Leslie Abuso\, we will spend time with all five syllables. There will be instruction\, practice and time for questions and discussion. The practice is open to all levels of practitioner. There is no fee but donations to the Ligmincha Texas Center are greatly appreciated. \n“The practice of the Five Warrior Syllables is a skillful means that can support us to release our negative and limiting behavioral patterns of body\, speech and mind.” (from “Tibetan Sound Healing” Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche.) \nThere is no need to register but it is helpful if you RSVP to Leslie at 713-444-3457. \nThere is a bookstore onsite and this book is available for purchase.

SUMMARY:Introduction to Meditation in the Tradition of Yungdrung Bön - Presented by Ani Sherab Wangmo
DESCRIPTION:The meditation in the Yundrung Bön Spiritual Tradition is the Path that we all need to tread to be able to control our mind and train it so that we can live with more peace\, quiet and serenity. \nIn the beginning we do have to know the context in which these sacred practices are\, so that we really know what we are doing and why. This very certainty allows us as practitioners to focus our attention on the goal and do not get distracted. It is an Ocean of Wisdom and we are beginning by touching the surface. \nAni Sherab Wangmo is a nun of the Yungdrung Bön Tradition\, an authorized instructor of the Lineage\, and a practitioner for 22 years. Her name means “the nun initiated in wisdom” and her monastic vows Getsukma were bestowed by His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima\, Abbot of the Menri Monastery in India. She was in charge of the fundraising of the Bön Children and Monks of the two main monasteries. She made a pilgrimage to Zhang Zhung sacred sites in Tibet in 2005\, especially Bon monasteries in the area that held the last capital of the Empire. One of the fruits of this pilgrimage was the collection of relics and sacred offerings for incorporation into the Bön Stupa of Torreon\, the Bön Stupa for World Peace in Chammaling\, Valle de Bravo and two Stupas in Dolpo.  \n\n\n Public Talk\nFriday.

SUMMARY:Ligmincha Texas Healing Practice for World Peace
DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 has completely changed the world. This past year has been difficult and most challenging. Now\, it is starting to get better and better. \nWe can fight the virus by continuing to follow COVID-19 precautions (e.g. wearing a mask\, physical distancing\, getting a vaccine)\, doing prayers\, and practicing to meet this challenging time. If we do this\, it will end soon. \nWe cannot blame anyone for the virus. No one has made this virus\, this kind of disease comes and goes. In the Buddhist text\, it says there are 404 types of diseases and 80\,000 obstacles by the gek. We need to eliminate these obstacles and diseases by prayer. Many people may experience anxiety and anger that can automatically come out when under duress. When this happens\, it is important that we do not blame anyone. By doing this\, it becomes worse. \nNow\, we will practice peace in the world to make life happier for all at this time. Ligmincha Texas will do prayers for World Peace and Healing for everyone by practicing the Sipe Gyalmo Healing Practice (Queen of Existence) and The Precious Garland for those who have died from racial violence and COVID-19. \nBring mala and a bottle of water. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:The Ma Gyud: Teaching of the Bön Mother Tantra Part 1
DESCRIPTION:The Bön Mother Tantra is one of the first translated texts from Zhang Zhung into Tibetan. Before it was translated from Tibetan\, it was translated into five languages. Originally written earlier\, the text was hidden in the 8th century. It was discovered as a terma by Guru Nön tse in the 11th century. There are three parts of the Mother Tantra: 1) How to practice the development stage; 2) How to practice the generation and perfection stages; 3) How to practice the union of the generation and perfection stages. \nThe principal focus of the development stage is the Father Tantra. The focus of the generation and perfection stages is the Mother Tantra. The main focus of the union stage is the Son Tantra. Especially in the Mother Tantra\, we practice the visualization of the three jewels: Lama; the Yidam; and the Khandro (dakini). In this retreat\, Geshe Denma will teach the Mother Tantra sadhana\, the three visualizations\, and the mudras. \nThe Ma Gyud is a tantric\, transformation practice. If we practice the Ma Gyud daily\, we will develop special powers of inner wisdom.  Tantra is a secret practice. The Mother Tantra deity was one of the yidams of the second king of Tibet\, Mu Tri Tsenpo. He had special power which he kept secret for himself as the king. His power decreased after the practice was made secret\, and he realized he had the capacity to teach and not to keep it secret anymore.  His power increased after this realization. He taught to those who had the capacity to receive the teaching. \nAll are welcome to attend this precious retreat with Geshe Denma. \nHe trusts that all have the capacity to receive this special\, powerful teaching. \nSchedule \nSATURDAY and SUNDAY\nCentral Daylight Time CDT \n Session 1 10:00–11:15 am\nSession 2 11:30 – 12:30 pm \nMeal Break\nSession 3 1:30 – 3:00 pm\n \n \n \n \nRegistration \n \n \n	\nRegistration is a 2 step process.  Step 1 is pay at PayPal.  Step 2 is register at Zoom.  It is important to complete both steps to assure access to the retreat.\nComplete payment through PayPal by clicking the Register button below. \nIMPORTANT:  After payment is completed\, you will be brought back to the Ligmincha Texas website.  This may take 10-20 seconds. \nIMPORTANT: If you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website\, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” \nAfter returning to Ligmincha Texas website\,  you will 1) get the link to the Retreat Handouts & Recordings (SAVE THE LINK)\, and 2) get the Zoom Registration Link. SUMMARY:Sigyal Dragnak Walmo Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Sigyal Dragnak Walmo Healing: Teaching\, Practice\, and Transmission \nFebruary 26-27\, 2022 \n10:00 am – 3:00 pm CST \nProtection and Healing with Sipe Gyalmo \nMeditation\, Mantras\, and Blessing Water \nZoom Weekend Retreat with Geshe Denma Gyaltsen  \n  \nTo help during coronavirus times\, our Bön Buddhist teachers are using Sipe Gyalmo practice.  Geshe Denma Gyaltsen has led us in at first daily and now weekly practice since March 2020.  We are still living with the pandemic. Learning this powerful\, tantric practice will benefit our world. \n  \nSipe Gyalmo\, the fierce “Queen of Existence\,” is the main protector of Bön\, its teachings\, and practitioners. This weekend\, Geshe Denma will explain Sipe Gyalmo\, Yeshe Walmo and Sigyal Dragnak Walmo\, the specific manifestation to subdue infectious diseases and prevent untimely death. Uniquely\, she is both a yidam and a protector. The principal deity within the female lineage\, her prayers and offerings are performed daily in Yungdrung Bön Monasteries.  \nShe is called upon to remove external\, internal and secret obstacles for both practitioners and for the religious tradition. In this way\, she protects health\, prosperity\, and spiritual development as well as supports our success in whatever we wish to accomplish.  \nIncluded are images of the original pecha text brought from Tibet by His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. This is part of his personal daily prayer book. The pages have been recited many times by Rinpoche as noted by the oil on the corners of the pages.  It is a blessing to see these pages. \nTo prepare\, it is best to set up your altar if you have one.  At your seat bring a bottle or other container of drinking water placed on a white cloth. Also\, bring a mala and a spoon. \nDuring this teaching\, Geshe Denma Gyaltsen will introduce us to the protector Sigyal Dragnak Walmo healing\, teaching\, instructions\, practice\, and transmission regarding her prayers and offerings.  \n \n \n\nRegistration is a 2 step process. This may take 10-40 seconds. \nIMPORTANT: If you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website after 1 minute\, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” \nAfter returning to Ligmincha Texas website\,  you will 1) get the link to the Retreat Handouts & Recordings (SAVE THE LINK)\, and 2) get the Zoom Registration Link. SUMMARY:Heart Drops of Kuntu Zangpo Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Heart Drops of Kuntu Zangpo (Dharmakaya)\nGeshe Denma Gyaltsen\nMay 14-15\, 2022\n10:00-3:00\nThe nature of our own mind remains hidden behind clouds of thoughts and emotions until a master directly points out the source\, the essence\, the “heart drop.” This is the method of direct introduction to Dzögchen\, the highest and most subtle path of meditation in Bön. \nThe Heart Drops of Kuntu Zangpo (Dharmakaya) teachings were composed by Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen\, a Tibetan master who upon his death in 1935\, achieved the rainbow body\, in which his physical body dissolved into light. Shardza Rinpoche was one of the most influential Bön Teachers of his time. His works are used as textbooks in many Tibetan monasteries. Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche coordinated the translation of this text into English and has secured its’ unbroken lineage. \nIn these teachings\, practitioners learn a series of extraordinary practices that invoke direct perception of the nature of mind. Unlike methods that involve watching the breath or otherwise calming the thoughts\, these practices rely on body postures\, sounding of Tibetan syllables\, and simple visualizations to draw one quickly to an experience of one’s essence. It is a particularly powerful\, direct method of Dzögchen.  It encompasses 4 sections: Rushan; Trekchöd; Thögal; and the Bardo. \nThis is a foundational practice to reach our inner Kuntu Zangpo\, our inner buddha nature. Through practice we are transforming our three doors of body\, speech\, and mind into pure body\, pure speech\, and pure mind. Our body transforms into the Trul-ku (Nirmanakaya) through the cleansing and purification of the body’s obscurations.  Our speech is purified into that of a pure melody and transforms into the Dzog-ku (Sambogakaya) through clearing the obscurations of speech.  By purifying the obscurations of our mind\, it transforms into the Bon-ku (Dharmakaya).\n\nRegistration is a 2 step process. This is a very unique teaching which is not often made public. \nGeshe Denma will explain the story of Lishu Tagring and instruct us in the Dzögchen teaching. Because of the complexity of this teaching\, it will be offered in a 3-part series. \nThe Four Main Texts and Sources for Dzögchen are: \n\nZhang Zyung Nyen Gyud\nAtri or Gabpa Gukhor\nYetri Thasel\nDragpa Korsum \n\n\nComplete payment through PayPal by clicking the Register button below. \nIMPORTANT:  After payment is completed\, you will be brought back to the Ligmincha Texas website.  This may take 10-40 seconds. \nIMPORTANT: If you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website after 1 minute\, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” \nIMPORTANT: If\, you are not returned to the Ligmincha Texas website and clicking “Return to Ligmincha Texas\, Inc.” does not work\, email us at info@ligminchatexas.org.  Do not wait until the day of the retreat. \nAfter returning to Ligmincha Texas website\,  you will 1) get the link to the Retreat Handouts & Recordings (SAVE THE LINK)\, and 2) get the Zoom Registration Link. SUMMARY:Tibetan Dream Yoga: Awake While Dreaming with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche! - Friday Talk
DESCRIPTION:How do we make distinctions between dreaming\, deep sleep\, and being awake? Is there a way to experience the differences – and similarities – between these three states? Explore your dreams in this weekend retreat with Tibetan Bön Master and founder of Ligmincha Texas and Ligmincha International\, Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche!\n\n\nThe Jung Center’s Executive Director\, Sean Fitzpatrick\, will join Rinpoche for a Friday evening talk and conversation about dreaming from both the Tibetan and Jungian perspectives.\n\n\nThen\, retreat into practice and teaching with Rinpoche for the weekend\, and invite an experience of the thread connecting our sleeping\, dreaming\, and waking consciousnesses. All are forms of awareness that can be experienced as a continuum – and can also manifest as a constant awareness called the “natural state.” Rinpoche will focus on dream practice\, explaining the underlying concepts and teaching methods of inviting the experience of the natural state.\n\n\nJoin The Jung Center and our friends at Ligmincha Texas as we discover how connecting to our unchanging selves in the midst of these alternating states can open the way to profound transformations of our minds\, hearts\, and lives. All are welcome!\n\n\nThere is a separate registration for in-person and Zoom participation. A separate registration link is also available for the Friday night session only. The Full weekend registration includes the Friday night event.\n\n\nFor in-person attendees\, Rinpoche’s newest revised and updated version of his book\, Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep will be available to purchase and for a book signing following the Friday evening talk.\n\n\nLive audio translations (Spanish\, Portuguese\, and Russian) will be available.\n\nPlease register through the Jung center at the links below. \nFriday In Person\nFriday On Line \nFull Weekend In Person\nFull Weekend On line \nOnline Auction\nhttps://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/2023-ligmincha-texas-auction-36030 \nLive Auction Items Preview\nhttps://ligminchatexas.org/2023-live-auction-items/
