DESCRIPTION:The Lamp of Uza Rinchen Sal: Experiential Teaching on the Bardo and\nPractice on the DU TRI SU\nPart 1: October 11-12\, 2025\nPart 2: November 8-9\, 2025\n10:00-11:30 am Central Time\nUza Rinchen Sal’s Bardo Journey: Uza Rinchen Sal’s extraordinary journey through the bardo is a powerful reminder for all of us to engage our body\, speech\, and mind in virtuous acts. Her experience reveals how\, in the transitional states beyond death\,\nbeings yearn deeply for the sound of the three essential mantras and send messages to their living relatives asking for virtuous deeds to be performed on their behalf. Through her story\, we are inspired to practice compassion\, accumulate merit\, and\ndedicate our actions for the benefit of all beings—now\, when we have the precious opportunity. \n\n\nRetreat teachings and practices will be taught in English. \nLive translation will be available in Spanish and Portuguese. \nWritten translations will be available in Spanish and Portuguese. \n\nREGISTRATION: \nComplete payment below.  After payment is complete\, you will receive an email with links to the Zoom Registration and the Handouts.  All recordings will be made available to registered participants after the retreat is over at the same link as the Handouts. \nThis Registration is for BOTH weekends (Oct 11-12 AND Nov 8-9) \nFinancial hardship need not prevent practitioners from attending Zoom teachings.  If you need assistance\, please inquire about available scholarships by emailing info@ligminchatexas.org.  This must be done at least 1 week prior to the retreat.\nWe have switched to using Zeffy.  This allows us to keep 100% of your donations and registrations\, as Zeffy does not charge us any payment processing fees.  They do\, however\, ask you to make a donation to them.  If you would prefer not to donate to Zeffy\, in the Donation Box at the bottom\, select “Other” from the Drop Down Box that is prefilled with a percentage and dollar amount \, and leave the Contribution Box empty. \n\n\n \nSangmo Yangri\, Ph.D.\, is a scholar\, teacher\, and translator. She is the first Tibetan woman to receive a Ph.D. in Tibetan Bön philosophical studies. A recipient of the Jwaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund grant. She won the Prime Minister’s Award from the\nTibetan Government in Exile in India in 2013. \nShe has translated two books from Tibetan to English. Escape from Darkness: The Spiritual Journey of the Buddha’s Daughter Shenza Nechung and The Lamp of Uza Rinchen Sal: Illuminating the Illusory Vision of the Bardo\, the Purifying Period of the\nKarmic Vision of the Six Lokas\, and a Pure Vision of the Sugatas.

Marcy is a counselor in private practice\, offers both online and residential meditation groups and retreats\, and teaches internationally throughout the United States\, Mexico\, and Europe.  She currently lives in Santa Fe\, New Mexico. \nIn partnership with her husband\, Gabriel Rocco\, they designed and launched the 9-month Compassion Project\, which explores meditation as a path to compassion for self and others.  It is now offered internationally in multiple languages. \nShe has edited the books Awakening the Sacred Body\, Tibetan Sound Healing\, Awakening the Luminous Mind\, and Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities\, all written by Tenzin Wangyal. She narrates the audio versions of his books available on Audible.
